Youth Services Canterbury
Youth Service is a new approach to helping young people. The goal of Youth Service is to help you find the best option for education, training or work-based learning that will help you build interesting and helpful skills and find a job.
There are three parts to Youth Service, 1) the NEET Service, (this stands for Not in Education, Employment, or Training), 2) Youth Payment (YP) and 3) the Young Parent Payment service (YPP).
This website is about Youth Service NEET only.

What is Youth Service (NEET)?
Youth Service NEET is a service designed to help 16 and 17 year olds. Our vision is that young people stay in, or get back into education, training, or into work based learning. We want young people to have the skills to get a job that will help them have a better life and a career. This service and assistance we offer is completely free with no hooks as participation is entirely voluntary.
There are many providers throughout New Zealand delivering this service and in Canterbury we have a collective of providers who are working closely together delivering Youth Service NEET.
